Barrel Sauna Spec Snapshot (October 2026): Prices, Heater kW and Warranties for 5 Models

By Rene Melgar · Independent publisher of home sauna and cold plunge buying guides focused on specs, installation and cost · Updated October 11, 2026

What this is: a dated, point-in-time record of what five popular outdoor barrel saunas list for price, seats, wood, size, heater and room warranty, pulled from public manufacturer pages on Sunday, October 11, 2026 (ET). We used authorized dealer pages only when the maker doesn't publish a price or a field was missing, and we say which. We don't fill gaps: if a source didn't state something, the cell says unknown. Where sources disagree, we show both figures.

Headline findings: only 2 of the 5 (Redwood Outdoors and Almost Heaven) include a heater in the listed price. Kit prices (no heater) ran from $5,990 (SaunaLife E8 at a dealer, plus $950 freight there) to $8,006 (Dundalk Serenity MP at a dealer). Heater-included listings ran from $6,252 (an Almost Heaven Huntington 8 kW configuration) to $13,792 (a Thermory No. 62 dealer package with a 9 kW heater). Room warranties ranged from 1 year (Redwood) to limited lifetime (Almost Heaven), and for two models the warranty wording conflicts or wasn't published. 3 of the 5 makers had no public checkout price on their own site.

This is a retail snapshot, not lab testing. We didn't measure, heat or sit in these saunas. Prices, stock and promotions change often; confirm on the seller's page before you buy. Links marked "check price" may be affiliate links. How we make money. This page covers hardware, specs and cost only, and is not medical advice.

Methodology

• Date: every figure on this page was taken from public web pages on Sunday, October 11, 2026, Eastern Time. We'll publish future snapshots as new, dated pages or dated revisions so changes can be compared.
• Manufacturer first. Specs come from the manufacturer's product page, spec PDF or warranty document. Where the maker has no cart or omits a field, we used authorized dealer pages and label them "dealer."
• No averaging. When the maker and a dealer, or two dealers, disagree, we show the figures side by side in the conflicts section rather than averaging or picking a convenient one.
• Kit vs ready to heat. The table says whether the heater is included. A heater-included sticker and a kit-only sticker are not the same purchase, so we don't rank by price.
• Warranty = written terms. Where a warranty PDF or FAQ exists, we treat it as the term and note marketing language that says something different.
• Unknown stays unknown. We didn't estimate missing numbers. Electrical amperage, foundation needs and installation labor are outside this snapshot; see our barrel sauna buying guide and heater sizing guide for those.

Snapshot table (October 11, 2026)

Prices are what public pages showed on Oct 11, 2026, before tax and delivery unless noted. "Kit" means heater not included. † = see source conflicts. Electric heaters listed here are 240V appliances; have a licensed electrician size the circuit from the heater manual and local code.

What the data shows

1. "Price" means different things. Redwood ($6,299) and Almost Heaven ($7,145.60 sale) include a heater. SaunaLife, Dundalk and Thermory are usually sold as kits, so add a heater package (and for SaunaLife at Topture, $950 freight) before comparing. Thermory's own range spans $7,425 for a kit to $13,792 for a heater-included package at different dealers.
2. Most makers don't sell direct at a posted price. SaunaLife and Thermory had no public checkout price on their own pages, and we found no Dundalk consumer product page, so those prices come from dealers. Dealer prices for the same Dundalk model ranged $608 apart ($7,398 to $8,006).
3. Warranty terms vary from 1 year to lifetime, and the wording is unreliable. Redwood: 1-year limited. Almost Heaven: limited lifetime. Dundalk: 5 years per dealers. SaunaLife: two live SaunaLife warranty PDFs disagree (5 years in Rev 260915, 2 years in Rev 260220) and the product page says "limited lifetime." Thermory: a dealer-hosted Thermory PDF says 5 years, but we found no room-warranty term on Thermory's own pages. Ask for the warranty document before you buy.
4. Heater sizes cluster at 6–9 kW. Included heaters are 6 kW (Redwood) or 6–8 kW (Almost Heaven). Kit makers and dealers point to 6–8 kW (SaunaLife), 6–8 or 9 kW (Dundalk, depending on the dealer) and 9 kW (Thermory). Larger interiors and big windows push toward the top of that range; see the heater sizing guide.
5. Only one row was clean. Redwood Outdoors was the only model where a single manufacturer source covered every column without a conflict. Every other row has at least one disagreement or unknown, listed below.

Source conflicts we couldn't resolve

Almost Heaven Huntington: dimensions, wood and price

• Almost Heaven: assembled 78" W × 94" D × 75⅜" H; interior 75¼" W × 74¼" D × 69¼" H.
• Select Saunas (authorized dealer): assembled 72" W × 95" D × 77" H; interior 71" W × 75" D × 71" H.
• Wood: Almost Heaven's product page says "North American cedar," and we use that wording. "Rustic Red Cedar" appears only as a finish option name in its configurator. The phrase "Western cedar" did not appear on the maker's page when we checked on October 11, 2026.
• Price: Almost Heaven's configurator changes the price by heater and options. The default page showed $7,145.60 sale ($8,932 regular); one 8 kW KIP variant showed $6,252.40; Select Saunas listed $6,252. Quote the configuration, not "the" price.

SaunaLife E8: warranty and dimensions

• Warranty: two SaunaLife Limited Warranty PDFs were live on October 11, 2026, and they disagree. Rev 260220, hosted on saunalife.com in an August 2026 folder, gives two years residential workmanship from delivery. Rev 260915, hosted by parent company Bathing Brands in a September 2026 folder, lists 5 years from delivery for sauna rooms and kits. The E8 product page says "limited lifetime warranty," and dealers paraphrase it as 5 or 2 years. The revision numbers suggest the 5-year document is newer, but SaunaLife hasn't said which applies, so we show both. Get the document for your order in writing from your seller.
• Dimensions: SaunaLife's marketing gives 81" diameter × 87" length. Dealer Topture gives 86.6" L × 80.7" diameter × 84.6" H on cradles, interior 78.7" L × 77" diameter, 213 cu ft and 6'5" standing height at center. Neither source explains the difference, so we show both.

Dundalk Serenity MP: seats, size, volume and heater

• Seats: Solaci lists 2–4. Topture says it seats 4 and that Dundalk categorizes it as 5-person.
• Exterior: Solaci: 78.74" dia. × 78.74" H × 94.49" L including a 17.72" front porch. Topture (citing Dundalk's drawing): 86¼" W × 94½" D × 86¼" H.
• Interior volume: Solaci: 184 cu ft. Topture: 222 cu ft (interior 83" W × 71" D × 79" H).
• Heater: Solaci recommends 6–8 kW electric (or wood). Topture says Dundalk recommends 9 kW.
• Warranty: dealers advertise a 5-year residential limited warranty. We haven't yet confirmed that against a Dundalk-issued warranty document.

Thermory No. 62: price basis and warranty

• Price: Native Sauna ($7,425) and the Amazon listing ($7,995) are kits without a heater; Rapid Spa ($13,792) is a package that includes a 9 kW HUUM Drop and Wi-Fi control. They aren't comparable figures.
• Size: Thermory gives 7.33' long and 7.52' outside diameter. Dealer Native Sauna rounds to about 88.5" × 90.5" and notes its own caveat about supplier dimension oddities.
• Warranty: a Thermory barrel sauna warranty PDF hosted by a dealer (uploaded March 2024; file created June 2022) gives a five-year warranty for the initial buyer. We didn't find a room-warranty term on the Thermory USA pages checked on October 11, 2026, so the manufacturer's current written warranty is listed as unknown until Thermory confirms in writing.

What we're still checking

• Dundalk's own dimensioned drawing and residential warranty document.
• Thermory's written room warranty for the Ignite No. 62.
• Almost Heaven's confirmation of the Huntington's assembled dimensions.

FAQ

How much does a barrel sauna cost in 2026?

On October 11, 2026, kit prices (no heater) for the five models here ran from $5,990 to $8,006 before tax and delivery. Heater-included listings included $6,299 (Redwood Outdoors 6-Person), $7,145.60 on sale (Almost Heaven Huntington, default configuration) and $13,792 (a Thermory No. 62 dealer package). Kit prices need a heater added.

Which barrel saunas include a heater?

Of the five we checked, Redwood Outdoors (6 kW Harvia KIP) and Almost Heaven Huntington (Harvia KIP 6 or 8 kW). SaunaLife E8, Dundalk Serenity MP and Thermory No. 62 are usually sold without one, though some dealers bundle a heater.

What size heater do barrel saunas use?

6 to 9 kW across this group. Follow the sauna maker's recommendation and the heater's published room range; our heater sizing guide shows the math.

Which barrel sauna has the longest warranty?

Almost Heaven lists a limited lifetime warranty on the Huntington room for manufacturing defects. Redwood lists 1 year. Two SaunaLife warranty PDFs disagree (5 vs 2 years), and Thermory's 5-year term comes only from a dealer-hosted PDF, so ask for the written document.

Why do specs differ between sellers?

Dealers sometimes carry older figures, measure with or without cradles and porches, or paraphrase warranties. We prefer the manufacturer's current page or PDF and list the disagreements instead of hiding them.

Is this a review?

No. It's a dated record of published specs and prices. For buying advice, installation and electrical requirements, see our outdoor barrel sauna guide.
